THE STORY OF HAWAII Museum: An exhibit tracing the history of Hawaii displays antique maps, prints and ephemera from the Polynesian Migrations to the 21st Century. This is the soft opening of a new exhibit space with more than 2,000 square feet devoted to vintage and antique Hawaiiana. The museum is located in the Maalaea Harbor Shops (Next door to the Pacific Whale Foundation). This event is free and open to the public. Ample free parking.

* MAPPING OF LAHAINA – AnIllustrated talk by Riley Moffat, noted author & BYU map historian. Moffat presents a detailed review of Lahaina maps from 1819-1975. Many important maps of the town will be shown, especially notable and never before seen are the historic insurance maps of Lahaina as it looked from 1914-1919. These have been enlarged so all the detail is now visible.
