Early Dutch version of one of the earliest accurate printed depictions of Tahiti.

Tahiti is seen at center, Ulitea, Bolabola (Bora Bora), Maurua & Huaheine shown around it. Uncommon late 18th century Dutch engraved map of the Pacific Ocean Society Islands. Visited by Cook on his 1st voyage in 1769.

In VG, mostly clean condition. Some light offsetting and a couple small spots along right side. Bottom left blank margin trimmed narrow to neatline as issued to facilitate folding. Scarce.
